Mosquera named amonst best UnDER-21S CENTRE BACKS
The defender is ranked by the CIES Football Observatory
Cristhian Mosquera has ended 2024 amongst the best Under-21s central defenders in the world, according to the CIES Football Observatory.
The football data website gives Mosquera a performance percentage rating of 77,5% for his contributions in the defence.
It should be noted that the classification of this analysis has been established according to a Wyscout performance index, considering the activity of players in six areas: Ground defence, aerial play, distribution, creation of chances, reception and finishing.
The Top 10 consists of: Abdukodir Khusanov (1st, 81.8%), Pietro Comuzzo (2nd, 81.7%), Matte Smets (3rd, 79.2%), Vitor Reis (4th, 78.9%), Cristhian Mosquera (5th, 77.5%), Yasin Özcan (6th, 77.1), Anrie Chase (7th, 77%), Aarón Anseimino (8th, 76.6%), Tomás Avilés (9th, 76.6%) and Nils Zätterström (10th, 76.2%).
Mosquera was also amongst the 25 finalists for the Golden Boy prize, and won the Olympic gold medal with Spain this past summer.
